Can anyone identify this paper pattern?

Can anyone save me a big job, need to source this paper but having no joy. Think I have looked at hundreds of Google images with no luck. Best guess is that it is about 15-20 years old, was told it came from B&Q but that could be wrong. Need to paper one wall that has suffered from a water...

Looking for some advice, I need to complete my papering this coming weekend before carpet is fitted. Hall, stairs and landing is part complete but I am struggling with the longest length, about 12ft. From the picture I am struggling to figure out if it's best to paper the left hand wall first...

Zinseer 123 or Coverstain - confused

I have read a lot about changing from an oil finish to water based but I am now confused! My paintwork is satin oil finish (Dulux trade) that was painted about 6 years back and is now trend and faded. I am now thinking of going water based and have seen good feedback on using Zinseer as a...

Dulux trade satinwood - oil v water - advice on staircase

Have seen some older posts on people’s views on Dulux trade satinwood (oil v water based) but thought I would look for an up to date view. I am about to paint my hall, stairs and landing including the staircase (lots of spindles!) and I am unsure whether to go with the oil based (what I have...

Ground level, pointing and signs of moisture

Think I am posting in the right forum - Do you think I have an issue with the ground level and pointing? The internal floor level is roughly just above where the dashing finishes so what appears to be damp spots is below floor level. Not sure if I need to be concerned. Is it worth raking out and...

Pull cord switch with neon 6A

Thanks for all the helpful replies, will check wiring in my pull switch tonight. Currently when turning off the extractor after a shower it runs on for 10 mins. Sometimes family are forgetting if they have turned off so extractor is left running on and on!

Pull cord switch with neon 6A

Does anyone know if a standard 6A pull cord switch is available with an on/off neon indicator? It's to switch a bathroom fan with overrun timer so that the user can be sure the switch is in the off position.

Damp - condition of brickwork after plaster removed

hi, can post a few pics later but a quick question first. I have a damp problem in hallway of 1930s semi. I have removed skirting and all plaster up to dado height - about 3m length. All exposed brickwork looks dry, no damp smell and skirting and floor boards all dry. If it is penetrating (or...

Sand/cement base then skim - cost and any alternate approach

Joist are okay and the outside render/dashing has been cut back/highered - it was below floor/dpc level. For sand/lime and finish or sand/cement and finish what would be a rough cost?

Flomasta toilet inlet valve - should it do this?

Replaced the inlet valve today on my push button toilet. Used a Flomasta valve from Screwfix. Job all good for DIY and now working as expected, no over filling or leaks and cistern fills exactly to the level marked. Question I have is that when you flush there is a short delay and a click noise...

Sand/cement base then skim - cost and any alternate approach

Looking at getting work done in hallway, about 5m long 1m high. I am taking back to brick (already started). What is a rough cost for sand/cement base and then skim - over 2 days, thanks Would it be cheaper to board and skim. It’s a gable wall on a semi-detached. Oh, work is in North West...

    Holesaw sizing - pvc ceiling

Feeling a bit thick... Looking to cut a 100mm hole in pvc bathroom ceiling for extractor vent to the loft and tile vent but unclear on holesaw size. I am presuming the standard 102mm that comes with most holesaw kits will cut a 100mm hole, is this right? I am presuming the holesaw has an...
