    Breatherquilt?

In general cause I like it more and don't want to have messy mineral wool on the floor (which I do now). But I don't think it's massively important to this question.

    Breatherquilt?

Hi, Planning to replace the roof (membrane, battens, tiles) in the 1970s terraced house, was planning to put in a breathable membrane (eg roofshield), however one of the roofers suggested breatherquilt instead (https://ybsinsulation.com/brands/breatherquilt/). Any thoughts about it? I'm a bit...

    Loft condensation above the bathroom

Ordered a centrifugal from soler & palau - https://www.justfans.co.uk/ebb-170-centrifugal-extractor-fan-ebb-170n-p-160.html. 220m^3/h, 36 dB. Will see how good it really is.

    Loft condensation above the bathroom

Thanks. Would the inline fan itself have to go into the run to external wall itself? All the youtube videos about them suggest it needs to be installed in the loft?

Ok that's what I thought. In terms of the fan, as I understand I need a centrifugal one for the long duct?

    Loft condensation above the bathroom

The extractor fan is not in the loft, it's in the bathroom - or rather at the bathroom end of this path between the external wall and the bathroom. Loft is above it all.

    Loft condensation above the bathroom

No, there's just a boxed part of the bedroom wall that goes toward the external wall, there's no kind of duct inside

    Loft condensation above the bathroom

Hi, I guess a relatively typical issue - I was installing the glass wool insulation in the loft and after having done the 1st layer (between the joists) there's now a lot of condensation on the roof roughly above the bathroom (I don't think I've seen that much before - see picture). What's my...

Removing up and over garage door that doesn't open

Hi all I'm planning to replace my ancient up and over door with Carteck side hinged insulated one. However the lead time on those is ~12 wks so in the meantime I wanted to have some work on the garage done including putting a boiler on the wall next to the door. Obviously the existing up and...

Bulge above the new patio doors

We have done a structural survey on the terraced house we are looking to buy and the surveyor is concerned about the patio doors the seller has just installed, specifically that they are rendered around (rather than covered with bricks like the rest of the house) and that there is this bulge...
