    Plaster over ply

Apply mesh on top of the wet skim and then push it down edge of trowel then finish over the top to bind the plaster

    Plaster over ply

Hmm tricky if it was me and couldn’t board over which really should be I would seal the wood the mesh the skim coat on top and hopefully be ok

    What’s better?

Plaster first then tile but you might want tile cuts at bottom not top depending on situation

Painted newly plastered walls - yellow stains/patches

Looks like damp stains but obviously any entrapped water causes new plaster to dry differently which causes colour differences really if the marks were there before and it’s been reskimmed they probably just used pva instead of grit

    Artex

Oh artex can’t be blown badly as your adding weight just not much really but if you pay for a plasterer they won’t guarantee work over artex I don’t think as I wouldn’t

    Artex

If pattern not too deep skim over the top any little bumps take off with scraper but use ppe and seal entrances but if low count don’t worry too much but once dust settles hoover to remove traces etc

    Filling chases and blown plaster

Your best option as need mesh joins is run straight edges and cut slowly in layers with sharp blade then carefully remove old skim then pva the lot and skim but on the brown patches let pva set then skim or skim tacky

Best product to level a rough brick wall for tiling

I’m a plasterer so depends on your experience really but mix yourself instead of ready mix and deep areas you want some sharp sand in as if applied to thick with soft sand may crack and could blow or build up in coats! Like previous said run rails if needed and maybe let them set and once the...

Best product to level a rough brick wall for tiling

Cement render mate as other backing plasters like hardwall need skimming if tiled and cement just devil float it

Can I plaster over this or what other options are there?

Just needs boarding and skimming but if me I would skim whole wall as blending is more hassle

    Plastering advice

Depending on size easy to skim whole ceiling then patch and blend

Bonding or Hardwall on an old concrete brick internal wall

Hardwall will remulsifi the pva or whatever but too slowly so needs tacky but bonding straight on top of dried pva is cool but needs pva as bonding will fail on such high suction

Bonding or Hardwall on an old concrete brick internal wall

Yes mate but hardwall is ok just you need to reapply pva and hardwall when tacky or better yet grit it
