Smart Light Switch - No Earth

I have bought a yagusmart smart light switch from Amazon. I was surprised to find there is no earth terminal in the switch. The plastic back box has no earth terminal either. This, combined with the generic packaging and no information on the manufacturer has given me some reservations. Is it...

    Bathroom Electric Regs Questions

I've got to admit, I'm slightly baffled. Maybe the best option is getting an electrician in to put the lighting circuit on an RCD and then I'll sort the fan and downlights out.

    Bathroom Electric Regs Questions

So where does this leave me if the lighting circuit has no RCD and I can see no supplementary bonding to any bathroom pipes? If I do nothing, it stays as it has for years. If I replace a fitting, am I mandated to then address the lack of RCD? This is why it's confusing, because it seems so cryptic.

    Bathroom Electric Regs Questions

So the suggestions are that this is not notifiable and as "replacements" I am not altering circuits either, so lack of RCD protection doesn't *need* addressing. I found this similar thread though that seemed like no RCD would be an issue that needed addressing without earth bonding in the...

    Bathroom Electric Regs Questions

Can anyone please advise what, if any, of the following would need to be certified by a Part P electrician, and what I could DIY? I've looked at zone diagrams and read lots of info but some of it seems contradictory and some confusing. 1) Replace a single ceiling pendant light fitting with 4...

New Wall Hung Toilet - Leaking Pan Connector

Just for anyone finding this thread in the future, the problem was the pan spigot on the toilet not being a true circle and having a poor finish, so the seal wasn't able to form completely. I have replaced the pan and no leaks at all now. Not the easiest problem to deal with but all's well that...

New Wall Hung Toilet - Leaking Pan Connector

No, there's no clip there either. The rubber fits over the end of the plastic pipe. I'll check the spigot for defects when I have it off again later.

New Wall Hung Toilet - Leaking Pan Connector

I can't really get a good picture until I have the toilet off again. The seal is kind of like a plunger that goes over the pan spigot. There is no clip. It isn't this brand but looks similar to this: https://www.qssupplies.co.uk/bathroom-furniture-shower-taps/186117.htm Another thing I've...

New Wall Hung Toilet - Leaking Pan Connector

Nothing. Should there be something? It didn't come with anything to fix it in place, or mention in the instructions.

New Wall Hung Toilet - Leaking Pan Connector

It came with the cistern frame, which is Swiss Aqua Technologies. It's a rigid plastic connector and the rubber seal goes over the (unglazed) ceramic pan outlet.

New Wall Hung Toilet - Leaking Pan Connector

I've been under it with a torch and watched the dripping. I'm as sure as I can be that it's where the rubber gasket goes over the pan outlet. I'll try putting some paper on top of the pan outlet just to double check.

New Wall Hung Toilet - Leaking Pan Connector

I have just fitted a new wall hung toilet and would appreciate some help with a leak please. I took a real battle to get it on to the brackets and the pipes lined up, but I thought I'd won, until a few hours later I noticed a slow drip underneath. After close inspection it seems to be where the...
