    Baxi Duo-Tec divertor motor

Thanks for the advice. I might give Baxi a ring. Yes it is the "A" model. Does the cartridge just lift out or is there a special tool/knack to doing it?

    Baxi Duo-Tec divertor motor

Thanks for the help. I didn't hold the motor upside down so will need to try this again. But surely the boiler will need to be on otherwise how can I check the pin moving when the Hot water is turned on? Then motor is electric?

    Baxi Duo-Tec divertor motor

Originally we had a leak from the diverter valve area. A part was replaced and it still leaked but not as bad as before. The system was then chemically cleaned and now the central heating only works a little bit. So I feel like I have forked out a lot of money to be in a worse state. You are...

    Baxi Duo-Tec divertor motor

Can someone explain how the diverter valve motor work on the Duo-tec? Does the motor push the pin down in the diverter valve cartridge? Or does the pin in the diverter valve push up into the motor and this starts the boiler? Thanks

    Baxi Duo-Tec divertor motor

OK I took the motor off the valve and turned the hot water tap on. Nothing moved on the motor as the power was off. But I felt nothing move inside the top of the valve. Hot water came out of the tap. The hot water out pipe was hot, but it was beforehand. I could only see two pipes coming...

    Baxi Duo-Tec divertor motor

I haven't checked yet. I did read somewhere when looking for cartridge prices that the Duo-tec HE "A" models don't have a bypass. Mine is the "A" model and I can't see one on the diagrams in the instruction manual. But will check tomorrow.

Hot water is fine its just the CH. When you say take the head off do you mean the motor? Should I do this with the boiler switched on?

    Baxi Duo-Tec divertor motor

He was quoting for motor and cartridge replacement and it was £230. I thought he replaced the cartridge 3 weeks ago when I first spotted the boiler was leaking, I have a bill from him itemising a valve cartridge and labour. He know says he didn't replace it just repaired it. I have lost...

    Baxi Duo-Tec divertor motor

Possibly, But I have already spent nearly £400 in the last few weeks and my boiler is now in a worse state then when I first asked for help. Said plumber is now asking several hundred more pounds for what seems like a 5-10 minute job to fit a part I can readily find on the internet for £30. I...

Thanks for the reply. That's what I thought. Looks like my plumber might be being very creative with his pricing.

    Baxi Duo-Tec divertor motor

Hi, I have a Baxi Duo-Tec 40 HE A boiler that is not heating the CH properly. It will come on and heat up to 72 degrees (as measured on the boiler LCD) then stops. It come back on when the boiler says the temp is 30 degrees. As its not on all the time the rads are not getting warm. A...

    Carpet coming away near threshold

The carpet is coming away near the threshold between our bedroom and the landing. This is beacuse when the carpet was fitted the fitters have cut it a bit too short. Normally I would try and stretch the carpet back into the threshold but I can't do that as there is a step into the bedroom...

    Faulty PIR for lighting

Back again. I still havn;t got another PIR yet. I sent an email to Steinel about using LEDs with the IS1 and I got this reply: "The low load situation is difficult, because the LED's begin to flicker when the sensor goes off ! That can be also by IS 1. Then you have to use a relay...

    Faulty PIR for lighting

Brilliant. I found the manual for it and wasn't sure whether I needed a corrective capacitor? http://www.global-download.schneider-electric.com/85257689000007EE/all/DBC096253BA79DCF8525782C00656359/$File/connect_infrascan_product_selection_and_technical_guide_250909.pdf

Do we know if its a relay or solid state then? I have sent Steinel an email asking if it was suitable for around 20Watts but no reply yet.

    Faulty PIR for lighting

[/url] It looks like IQ have gone out of business. The support number just says not in use. The website is broken and I found a Company Check website that said they were dissolved in February this year.
