Ideal Logic heat 30+ L1 fault

So, I am pleased to report that turning down the boiler's stat worked! Just still not sure why I had to do that when it was working fine until now.

Ideal Logic heat 30+ L1 fault

Thank you Harry - I'll tried this containment and see what is happening - I have reduced the boilers stat a bit below the eco position when it is always normally on. The question is, what is the actual potential rootcause? Why would it suddenly go into L1 when it has been working fine before...

Ideal Logic heat 30+ L1 fault

Hi, My Ideal logic heat 30+, is going into L1 fault once a day. After reset, it restarts normally. The water pressure on the radiator system, is normal. The boiler would be working until going into the cooler setting overnight, but then, in the morning, I would need to go to carry out a reset...

Replace Low voltage Thermostat (Salus RT500) but line voltage smart thermostat (Meross MTS200)

Hi everyone, I am sure this would not be a surprise to you, but the mart thermostat is working as intended... after the C/H programmer is put in "on" position - Thank you for all your help.

Replace Low voltage Thermostat (Salus RT500) but line voltage smart thermostat (Meross MTS200)

Right, so, C/H programmer on, I am getting 230V with blue/red, and 0V with blue yellow. I suppose this is embarassing, and I should now install the Meross as per the diagram shared by RandomGrinch. Unless one of you says otherwise, I should do that tomorrow lunch time and report outcone to you...

Replace Low voltage Thermostat (Salus RT500) but line voltage smart thermostat (Meross MTS200)

@Taylortwocities, thank you for your message - Ok, I understand that the Salus Th. doesn't need 230V to operate, but now my hope, is that following @RandomGrinch 's comment, If my programmer is on, those wire carry 230V (like the rest of the system), and therefore allowing me to just install the...

Replace Low voltage Thermostat (Salus RT500) but line voltage smart thermostat (Meross MTS200)

Great... will do that hopefully tonight after work - I have got a dial multimeter, so I assume you are asking to measure AC Voltage?

Replace Low voltage Thermostat (Salus RT500) but line voltage smart thermostat (Meross MTS200)

Thank you all to your replies and sorry for the delay of my reply - I am new to DIYnot and did not seem to have received notifications of your very useful replies. I am going try to answer the questions you all asked. The reasons I don't believe that the 230V is getting through the wires...

Replace Low voltage Thermostat (Salus RT500) but line voltage smart thermostat (Meross MTS200)

I bought a Meross MTS200 smart thermostat to control our gas boiler for the central heating. I then realised that the existing thermostat (Salus RT500) is on low voltage, despite the 3 thick wire feeding it (See picture). I would like to replace it by the smart thermostat Meross MTS 200 that...
