    Underfloor heating doesn't get warm

Thanks Mr Chibs. There is definitely something wrong. I set the overnight temperature to 15 and it's consistently about 11 or 12 when I get up at 5 or 6am. When it is really cold outside it won't get above 14 or 15 C all day. I think I need to lift the floor to see what's going on underneath,

    Underfloor heating doesn't get warm

I am googling this right now. I need to work out what it means but I often find little heat coming out of the cupboard containing the manifold despite the boiler and heating being on. Thank you!

    Underfloor heating doesn't get warm

I had someone out last week and he said the temperature was too low for my set up so increased it. He also remarked that the space under the UFH is huge (which I knew) so if there are any gaps in the insulation I could be losing heat. The increase in temp had no effect that day because it was...

    Advice on loft flooring

Hi I had a loft extension built recently and the flooring is chipboard (contains green flecks). I can't afford to put down good flooring at the moment so am exploring low cost temporary options. I would appreciate feedback - what is the most cost-effective option? i.e. looks reasonable and...

    Underfloor heating doesn't get warm

Thanks to everyone for comments. FYI I think heat is getting lost when weather is cold. Increasing the water temp did not work when it was freezing cold outside but it did have a marked difference when the weather was less cold. Very annoying but I am now confident there is nothing wrong at...

    Underfloor heating doesn't get warm

Mine has never got above 18/19 without sunshine when I have had it on constantly all day. My next door neighbours are really happy with their UFH. I have no idea, I just know it's costing me a lot of money. Let's see if anyone else can advise further. Thank you though I appreciate your response.

    Underfloor heating doesn't get warm

Hi big-all thank you for your message. I have wondered about this. I have recommended friends install radiators as well as underfloor heating as a result of my experience. However, some people rave about their UFH - they claim not to have it on all the time. In your experience, what...

    Underfloor heating doesn't get warm

Hi I had a kitchen extension built ~8 years ago with wet underfloor heating. From the start I knew it wasn't working properly - the new underfloor heating kept competing with the old radiator system in the rest of the house. The builders came back multiple times telling me I was wrong...
