    i just cant get my head round how the return pipe makes it way across and back upstairs ,surely systems work better if you go downstairs to downstairs and up to up??:chippy by trade :oops:

    Going from upstairs in existing house to upstairs in extention and then downstairs in extention ..will the flow and return pipes work ok vertically?..ive got a new potterton performa 30 he, theres no tank or cistern in loft..thanks

    its a combi(potterton performa 30he) i presume the pumps in the boiler?..was just gonna branch off the existing pipe work which is 15mm

    thanks for the reply...there two extra rads upstairs and two down stairs all running on 15mm pipes, a new bigger condenser boiler as been fitted to take the bigger output, ive no cylinder everythings just coming of the boiler.

    just built a two story extention...is it ok to connect to the central heating radiator circiut on the existing upstairs into the new part upstairs then run it down into the new extention downstairs or is it best to go upstairs to upstairs and lower to lower?...does it matter ?..thanks for any...

    insulation between floor joists.

    building a extention and aquired some insulation slabs 70mm thick with a sort of paper backed ..is it ok if i cut them to size and put them between joists that are my new living room ceiling and the new upstairs bedroom, is there a risk of condensation?
