    Can someone tell me that is there such a thing as a part that can be screwed to an existing hot water pipe which has a stop a tap stop on it so that i can extend the pipes in my downstairs toilet without draining the system.

    Looked in Airing cupboard and no sign of Gate valve.

    Can someone just put me right and let me know wether changing a washer in a hot water tap means draining the system by tying up the ball cock in the loft or ( as my missus is trying to assume ) a much quicker way. :shock:
