    Stopcock connection

Hello you helpful lot. I'm racking my brains but I can't figure out how to connect this stopcock to 22mm copper pipe at either end. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ohjp4ul4c2t3dfr/AAB-_to__9PYEhS-Xj6wUCCya?dl=0 I'm trying to make a novel set of kitchen taps ( feel free to take the mick ) but...

    Cooker wiring

Thanks for the reply ColJack. I was assuming it was a ring but it is probably, as you say, a radial - I'll investigate some more. It is 10mm though. The socket is definitely on the same line - the fuse for the oven cuts the socket too. It's not a wholly electric oven, a gas oven with...

    Cooker wiring

Hi all I'm fiitting a new kitchen and thought I'd take the opportunity to move the cooker socket into a more practical position in the process. Currently the cooker is wired to a plug which is plugged into the socket of a Cooker Control Unit. I have read that ideally the cooker should be...

    Moving a radiator

Well how easy was that!!!!??? Thanks very much for your help Softus. All I did at this point was remove the pipework for the old radiat as I haven't the the new one to fit yet but now I feel confident draining the system and using compression joints so putting in the new radiator should be a...

    Moving a radiator

okay there you've just proved that I have no grasp whatsoever of the principals involved!.... presumably if I am able to drain the system and work on it when I have turned the bolier off there is no water-flow. So how does the system fill again without the boiler being involved...

    Moving a radiator

Thanks again for your advice softus...I've got a lot of time for people who are willing to give it out free. If ever you're in need of some computer animation info don't hesitate! One last question I (almost) promise. When I turn the boiler back on and refill the system, and have bled the...

    Moving a radiator

oh and the loop has a valve at either end...I tried opening the one on the "Domestic Cold Water In" end, expecting to see the pressure rise but nothing happened. And the other end was a bit tricky to get to and the pipes were hot so I didn't persevere.
