    Changing Motorised valve

Could the problem be with the motor within the powerhead? Is there an easy way to isolate the faulty component?

    Changing Motorised valve

Thanks for the speedy reply. Pardon my ignorance but I assume that the powerhead is the silver box that is attached to the 3 way valve?

    Changing Motorised valve

The 3 position motorised valve has packed up on my Sundial Y Plan system. I have purchased a new valve to replace the old one. Does anyone know whether I have to drain down the whole CH system to swap the valve? The valve is located next to the HW tank in the upstairs airing cupboard. There is...

CH comes on when only Hot Water selected

Just got home and checked valve - it's quite hot even though the DH and HW have been off all day!! Tried tapping the valve to release but nothing. Reckon the motor is burning out so will look on ebay for a new one and swap it over. :)

The valve is described as a 3 position diverter and was made in Canada. The valve is wired into a junction box on the floor of the airing...

CH comes on when only Hot Water selected

I think this my problem may be related to a motorised valve which sits at the junction of the HW and CH circuits which is either stuck or needs replacing. Any suggestions as to how this can be fixed? Can I do this myself - I am not a plumber or CH engineer!! :(
