Does anyone have experience of buying second hand (or new e.g. mis-sized) upvc windows on ebay? Presumably the main problem is you may have to wait ages to find the right sizes, and buying from multiple sources would mean they don't match. And they may not meet current building regs. But...

If I replace (not cover) the fascias around a felted flat roof with upvc, do I need drip battens as with wooden fascias? I'm figuring that if the purpose of the battens is to protect the fascia from water, it wouldn't matter with upvc... There are no gutters.
