inhibitor has not been used as it is an open system. I have mians flushed a number of times using the advise from wiki pages.

Pipework appears to be ok, yes there is a flow of water from connections and others rads work fine. I did remove as much of the sludge as I could and the rad is getting warmer than before. I could do with cleaning the whole system.

cheers, will give it a go. :) Having another look at the problem i see original hot pipework to bathroom in 22mm and reduced to 15mm under the bath. Should I reinstate to 22mm ?
