Would using FCL's be a better option or should I fit fire hoods as the loft space is going to get boarded?

Sorry for bringing an old thread back alive, but i am doing the same job, fitting downlights to a top floor flat, the problem i have is that i want to board out the loft which would cover the downlights, would this cause problems? should i put in fire covers for peace of mind or would thid cause...
