    Posts for Apple cordons

Hello, We have bought two posts 3 x 3inches and 7ft tall to use as a support for apple cordons. :? The posts will be placed about 3 metres apart, with galvanised wires between to tie the three apple tree cordons to. Should the posts be concreted in or can we use metal post holders (or both)...

    Crumbly brickwork

Hubby tried to drill holes in the wall next to a window to put up a curtain rail. The brickwork just crumbled away, so now there is a hole about 2 x 2 inches. Its right under the guttering in our 100 year old house (roof and guttering done about 7 years ago). Can it be repaired with the...

    One rattling radiator

Most of our radiators have valves. Three of them don't. The biggest one (valveless)is in our living room; it has begun to make a terrible noise when heating is on and we can't hear the telly. Does it need a valve or a good clean out? We have a Halstead combi boiler.
