Can someone please tell me if a bearing change on a Hotpoint WM63 is fairly easy(ish) and if so can it be done through the access hole (the back is welded on except for this hole), or do I have to remove the drum from the top? Any special tools needed?

My machine is now 6 years old. Checked the weights they are not loose and does not make a noise when turned manually. A Friend says it might be the hydraulic struts that hold the drum - tried to remove one but could not get at the nut to turn as the access v limited as back plate of m/c welded...
