there is no back felt on my slate roof ,does anyone know if a foil insulation would act as a secondary waterproof layer,but also be breathable if stapled to the rafters?? or is stopping draughts, insulating and being ready for a slate moving too much to ask from foil coated bubble wrap? :lol:

thanks to your info my water hammering problems were cured by reducing the pump speed but now the water pressure guage fluctuates .5bar up+down when pump ruuning is this normal .its a mynute 20se with trv\\\'s on all rads but 1 in bathroom. :D
