Hotpoint WD61x Washing Machine .. Interlock Switch Wiring!

Useful thread! I'm having a similar problem and think I've traced it down to the door-lock. When I test the lock with a multimeter (disconnected from the machine) I can't ever get continuity across any of the terminals regardless of whether I move the slider in (as if the door were shut). I'm...

Spark Generator/Ignitor - How strong a spark is required?

Possibly, though I'm not currently seeing a spark when looking through the pilot light checking window, so I would guess the lack of spark must be an issue too :\

Spark Generator/Ignitor - How strong a spark is required?

Thanks for the response Tony - I'm not sure whether you're suggesting to measure the voltage or whether you're just mentioning what is required? I can create a spark with it about 1cm long, using the screwdriver about 2mm from the terminal it'll arc between that and the base plate of the...

Spark Generator/Ignitor - How strong a spark is required?

Safety comments accepted and duly noted - I've really not done anything as dangerous as re-wiring a plug in this instance though. The spark igniter is a simple 2 screw and one spade terminal to remove, I've not had to remove anything other than the front cover (designed for consumer removal).

Spark Generator/Ignitor - How strong a spark is required?

Hi All, I've an ancient Worcester Heatslave 9.24 (Balanced flue, electronic, white fronted - 47-311-02) Combi boiler. It's clearly an ancient boiler and quite ready for replacing, however it's been reasonable reliable for me and I've only had to change basic parts until now - Pump and...

lost instructions for worcester heatslave combi boiler 9:24

I'd also love a copy of the manuals - I have the Worcester Heatslave 9.24, white front, balanced flue. Model reference is 47-311-02. I'm limping this old thing along and currently having issues (I think) with the ignitor/spark generator. Managed to find a part for it but would love a copy...

    Worcester Heatslave 9.24 BF - Using 8 m3/hour instead of 2.9

Mike, I thought this too at first, but I wandered round the house with a naked flame and I didn't get blown up even once, so it can't be that. Ok, I turned off the boiler and recorded the meter reading, then again 24 hours later and it hadn't moved, it was a cold day but I think that...

    Worcester Heatslave 9.24 BF - Using 8 m3/hour instead of 2.9

Hmmm, having read your response I revisited my figures and rechecked the calculations, in retrospect I think I'm completely mis-reading... These are the readings I took recently, the figure includes the last 3 digits on the meter... The above three figures are taken with different...

    Worcester Heatslave 9.24 BF - Using 8 m3/hour instead of 2.9

Hello, I've been worried by the amount of Gas my boilers using and started to monitor it, by taking regular readings off the Gas meter I've noticed that I use anywhere between 4.5 cubic metres an hour and up to 8 cubic metres an hour of Gas when running my boiler on central heating only. (ie...
