tried that then removed wires from pcb friend said ok put wires back on they can corrode slightly and get no power thru them.(biasi can be tempramental bloody things his words). bang we are up and running. i would like to thank you all for the help :wink:

fan is free theres no power to it. is it from the pcb it gets the signal for power(or recieves) or is the power there ready and waiting for the signal? there is a break in the pcb at right hand side which appears to be from the summer/winter setting is this relevent?
