Need a chippy to fit ground floor skirtings and hang 12 doors. Been let down and got first baby on the way, so got a bit of a deadline to work to. :D Want the work doing in a couple of weeks time, ideally, so if anyone's got a few days spare in early/mid august, I'd be happy to talk to you...

    Backless Kitchen Cabinets

Ikea units don't have the "service voids" IIRC. Just don't fit the backboards when making the flat packs up - job done. Symo

    Replacement shower door handles

Very impressed by the speedy reply from http://www.ashardware.co.uk/ but, no joy... :( "Sorry for your dilemma Matt but our handles are for commercial entrance doors. I think you’d find them too bulky, also we don’t do less than 250mm centres. Tony Ellis"

I'd just plaster board over it and fit a new fire surround. Dot n dab will be easy. Quick skim and job done. Plasterer would do it for about £150 all in I'd guess?

Yep, I've got one in a sliding patio door! Got a slimline, clear acrylic, flap and had a new sealed unit made with the hole preformed in it. Cost a few bob though!! Measure your glass and take the measurements and your catflap to a local glazing co. and they'll sort it for you. Symo

    leasehold and the leaseholder!!

Big G. I'll be going for enfranchisement shortly on my house. My leaseholders use a management agency. I would be very interested in any "hot tips" you may have? I have visited the lease.org site but, obviously, I'm hoping to get the freehold as cheaply and painlessly as possible. I...

    Cordless powertools

Very good drill. Fairly light and compact but well made with plenty of grunt. 2 batteries, case and an accesories set thrown in. Excellent value, especially earlier this year, as they were doing them for £75 then
