How to join tongue and groove at angle?

Hi Working on a camper van conversion. I’m using wickes 8x94mm tongue and groove interior cladding to do the ceiling. I want to bring one panel down at the sides but at a 45 degree angle. Looking from back doors into the van it would like this ... (although this is upside down) :)...

Little brick shed foundation slab question

Hi I’d like to build a little brick shed on the back of our detached garage. Garage was built in 1986. Same brick as garage and same flat roof. Using a wall starter kit. Can I lay a slab with thicker edges? If so what depth? current garage - you can see slab and 2 bricks up to dpc. Thanks.

Detached garage - wet floor? and conversion to clean area

Ok. It's been a while but I'm ready to start the project. Since I last posted I've had arco drains installed in front of the garage - no more rain in that way. I've had a side door installed and a new metal roof over the existing timber/felt - 30 yr guarantee included :) Decided to go for...

Big hole in garden, full of water?

changed our mind, we were going to pave it, but decided on decking and thats a little higher than paving. Also wanted to get rid of much of the clay as possible and improve soil quality to assist in drainage. In retrospect, I should have created drainage holes rather than digging all the clay out.

Big hole in garden, full of water?

I've dug out quite a lot of clay to make way for decking. Its approx 5 meters wide, by 3 meters. Its rained a lot over the last few weeks and now its full of water, about 25-30cm in places. I need to bring the level back up a little, probably about 15cm ready for the decking frame. Can...

Detached garage - wet floor? and conversion to clean area

Thanks. You suggested I install a membrane and use concrete? Is this easy enough to install? I've seen people on the forum build a stud frame inside the garage and line the brick walls with a barrier ( polythene ) then insulation then plasterboard. The floor sits on top of the frame which has...

Detached garage - wet floor? and conversion to clean area

Hi I'm after a bit of advice before I begin some work in my garage, wonder if anyone can help? I have a small budget of about £500 and I want to do the work myself, if I can. I have a detached brick garage (built 1986 ish) it has a flat felt roof and is single skin of bricks I think. I can...

advice - which radiator valve/connector do I need?

I started the job this afternoon having got all the pieces I needed. Although having cut the pipe, I found it was 8mm and I only had 10mm valves. :( So have had to pop the old one back on for now, minus the radiator. I did notice that the pipe has been bent quite a bit already and it was...

advice - which radiator valve/connector do I need?

Thanks - I had thought about just replacing the whole valve as you mentioned, with a brand new one that fitted the radiator. Something like this: http://www.wickes.co.uk/Obsolete-Radiator-Valves/Radiator-Lockshield-Valve/invt/421551 But I'll need to get one that is 10mm for the water pipe...
