Its fed from tanks - but pressure was ok with the old mixer shower?

I have just installed a new shower Its a Triton Altair Thrmostatic bar Mixer with a temp control on one end and a flow control on the other end. On installing the new shower there has been a dramatic reduction in pressure. The new shower just does not seem to \\\"open up\\\" as the old one...
