cheers marty c i shall try that when i finish work today. when i turned the radiators of upstairs it did make all radiators downstairs go hot, apart from the one i used to drain system, that stayed cold, but theres wate rin it when i bled it. will try ur method later and let u know what...

after turning ones off upstairs and forcing heat downstairs that did work however heat didnt get to the radiator that i have bene using to connect hose pipe to when i originally drained the system. that radiator at the bottom of the stars stayed cold.

I have just fitted a towel rail in the bathroom upstairs, drained the system to do that, and now filled system back up after doing so. as subject the downstairs radiators are all cold and the upstairs are all hot. I have bled all radiators downstairs till water comes out, and same upstairs...

hi, thank you for your help i dont wish o move the pipes, i just want to basically buy a chrome radiator that will fit in the gap without moving any pipework, i understand i will need some straight valves for this also, the measurement inbetween the 2 centres of the 8mm microbore pipes is 24...

8mm microbore it is. and screwfix have told me this item is suitable, 31047 but im unsure on its width it looks to small

im not sure what they designed for mate, although what you are saying would seem to be true for our setup. as when we took the taps off and aimed water int oa bucket the pressure was far more than going through the tap. Lee

yes its definately made an improvement changing them ball valves getting more pressure now.
