I'll remove the shelves above if I have to - does this mean I won't need to take the whole boiler off? Do you know what part number the EV is? Thanks for this. Jon

    Baxi Combi

Pressed the valve on top down - water came out!!! Does this mean that a new EV is needed. Interestingly, there is also a piece of mortar or plaster wedged between the EV and the boiler. Could this have caused it to fail? Thanks, Jon

    Baxi Combi

OK will do - if this doesn't sort it, from my earlier post am I to take it that the PV is no longer thought to be at fault and that the plate HE could need replacing again? Thanks for your help with this. Jon

    Baxi Combi

Thanks Dave - I have read post 31 in FAQ about Pressure Problems. Am I right that if the PV needs repressurising, the pressure in the boiler should drop massively once the boiler cools? On mine, the pressure stays high and the boiler keeps dripping even when totally cold.

    Baxi Combi

My Baxi Combi appears to be over-pressurising and the overflow pipe that leads to the outside has a constant drip, drip, drip; this dripping gets worse when the boiler is on and the hot water is being pumped round the CH circuit or the hot water tap is on. It has been suggested to me that...

Thanks - is it a common problem?

Baxi Combi 105e leaking plate heat exchanger

I knew that the boiler was leaking and could hear a gentle hiss. I eventually managed to find a small jet of water spraying out of the plate heat exchanger onto the wall that the boiler is mounted on. Whan the pressure in the central heating circuit falls below 0.5 bar the leak sems to stop...

Hot water problem with Baxi Combi 105e

Thanks namsag and baxpoti - I undid the pressure differential assembly and found that the diaphragm was ruptured in two places. Fitted a replacement and problem solved. Thanks again for the help.

Hot water problem with Baxi Combi 105e

Cheers namsag. Is the diaphragm part of the diverter valve? How do I change it?

Hot water problem with Baxi Combi 105e

When the boiler is cold (if the CH has not been on in the last half hour or so) when I turn the hot tap on I do not get hot water. This means that I have to turn the CH on for a minute or two for things to warm up before trying the hot water again. A further problem is that if I turn the hot...
