    In my lasses house when the toilet is flushed up until the cistern is filled up there is a reasonably loud high pitched humming noise. It has only started recently. Close couple type and less than 8 years old, soft water area. It happens when either the downstirs or upstairs toilet is flushed...

    Thanks for the tip but it specifically says 'no use for gaps between floor boards already nailed to joists it will fall out' my floorboards are already nailed to joists!! I assume it's holes and gaps then? Not that there are many or that un-sightly but better filled than not for asthetic and...

    I have just had some floorboards replaced, any tips on 'distressing' the new ones before I stain and varnish the whole lot so that the new/old don't look so obvious as I think they might?.

    Thankyou, I'm lucky that I have the old airing cupboard right next to the bath and have access to put the new shower and therefore I'm lucky I will have all the access I need. Mira was going to be my choice. Thanks again.

    2 year old Ideal Isar 30 HE with 1 bar static pressure and 15lts per minute flow rate and no PRV fitted (yes I have been reading the installation notes from BG...I know....) I hope that helps your advice and there is only me here most of the time so the multi use problem shouldn't be an issue...
