    Replacing polyplumb fittings.

Quick question about polyplumb fittings : I have removed a toilet from my house, which was fed from a pipe with polyplumb fittings. (copper comes in to the joint, and then plastic pipes feed the bathroom in the next room) Currently, I have a polyplumb tee fitting that needs to be changed...

    Badly installed Shower

Last question... Will it be easy to persuade a plumber to use one of these? I'm sure he doesn't want to spend the time ripping out the shower and building a new base. If he's not keen or hasn't heard of them, should I ditch him and a) try the job myself or b) find someone else? How...

    Badly installed Shower

Sorry I wasn't clear - its new to me... 1980's ex council. Previous owner installed the shower to try and push up the sale value. We later found out from the tennants that had been renting the place that the shower had never been useable, as it flooded the kitchen (downstairs) the first time.

    Mystery Hole in the Floor....

:D :D Will go well with the ferret we're trying to adopt  Have finally stopped being a wimp, and stuck my hand down the hole and taken some pics with my camera... a glimpse into the unknown no cables or pipes... it goes only one way... under the wall in the first pic, and...

    Mystery Hole in the Floor....

 The first suggestion was that it was a floor safe, but it seems to go somewhere. (I'm not brave enough to stick my hands down it either) Its in the hallway, by the wall opposite the foot of the stairs, so probably no gas fire :?

    Mystery Hole in the Floor....

As part of a reflooring excerise, I've found an unexpected hole in the floor of my ground floor flat. pictures Its cut into the concrete floor, there are metal walls that have warped a bit, and a wooden frame at the top, which was capped with a piece of 3mm ply, padded with odd bits of...
