    I have read on this forum that wooden flooring should be installed "with the light" Why is this? I am having a wooden floor layed later this week, but the room is long and narrow with all the windows on the long side. Will that cause problems and look odd? Many thanks

    Floor laying costs

    How much should I be paying to have a solid wood floor layed excluding materials. The concrete (no damp) floor measures 14sqm, carpet and furniture already moved. I have been quoted £25.00 per sq m, this seems excessive(perhaps he's a barrister) Am I wrong?
