The bands in the box are shot due to lack of servicing, will get worse. Needs a replacement box...

Could just be condensation due to the weather, short runs, lack of use etc. Try wiping it clean and checking again in a coupla days...

Possibly wrong wattage bulbs...

Has the car been badly repaired after an accident? ie new wings fitted? If not, try the scuttle drain vents on the bulkhead, possibly blocked with leaves etc...

Disconnect the battery and leave one hour to discharge the air bags...

Try disconnecting the battery to see if it resets the system...

Check the other side too, that usually goes shortly afterwards...

Alternator is most likely at fault...

Also try the flap on the air flow meter, they run like a pig when it's sticking, bit of WD40 normally sorts it...

Try cleaning the idle speed control valve or even swapping it with one off another BMW to see if it's the problem, cheap fix if it sorts it... Stevie.

SORTED! Did what you said, worked the valve a few more times and it's kicked in. Think there was some crud in the workings and it'd siezed. I'll have to run with it manually for a coupla days until I can get a new valve and actuator but it'll be fine till then. What can I say - THANKS !!! I was...

Not red but it's a honeywell, VC6012-34 on the white label with red border. Freed the valve off which was pretty stiff, not giving hot water in either position though. Doesn't seem to be firing either. 'C' on display with burner light lit. Pressure seems fine, all connections good. Totally lost...

OK, the 'D' is off the display and I've removed the Wilco diverter valve control box, do you know how to manually over ride the valve? Thanks...

'D' on boiler is now lit constantly ('dripping tap' but everything is off) burner light is flashing constantly, drained some water off, pressure is now 2.5 bar...
