Mmmm how to run an outside cable from this consumer unit?

I was told by my NICEIC inspector I had to fit a warning label on the one in my image or it would be marked as a discrepancy  How far do we have go to cover all eventualities these days, its like putting a 'contains nuts' warning on a packet of dry roasted.

Thats a design feature so you can hang your shower gel on it, thats why they have those little hooks on the bottles  Those speedfits in my pic looked to be white origionally, maybe the old owner was a hair dye/fake tan fan :?

Quiet vs noisy bathroom light pull switch

Not tried those, but after complaints from Mrs 40 Watt about how much noise our MK switch switch made (nippers bedroom backs onto the bathroom, and hes a very light sleeper) I did some searching round and tried one of these, definately the quietest I've found yet short of going to a dimming pull...

floorboards, how do you cut yours?

I used to have the 230v green PMF and upgraded to the Blue GOP250, the GOP is a fair bit quieter, its still a bit 'screamy' on max speed, but at 20,000 osculations a min I guess thats expected (its more solid internally so the vibration level also seems less). I picked up a 10.8v GOP as part...

floorboards, how do you cut yours?

Bought a pack of 10 35mm Shark blades (£40) about 6 months ago and still got 4 unused, seem to last twice as long as the Bosch blades at less than half price, wouldn't buy anything else now..

floorboards, how do you cut yours?

I've got the Blue Bosch GOP multi tool, wouldn't be without it now. If it blew up tomorrow I'd buy another without a doubt, but register it online and you get a 3yr warranty. Gives lovely neat cuts, can get it in almost anywhere, its not too messy and doesn't damage the boards next to it...
