Some radiators not heating up. (Combi system)

Hello all. I recently bought a house and decided that before the winter sets in that I would flush the heating system and refill with new inhibitor etc. I have done this several times before on other houses without any problems. It is a combi system with a hot water tank in the airing...

Grant combi 90 Boiler....The other problem

Another problem I have had on the grant combi 90 is this.... When the hot water is on and left on for a while (running a bath, etc) the heating comes on even if it is switched off. And when the heating forst comes on in the morning, the DHW is luke warm at best. What would cause this...

    Grant 90 boiler leaking...HELP!

Why would I replace the boiler? What looks like corrosion round the area of the valve is just insulation, it actually looks really bad in the picture doesn't it!!! The auto air vent I have got is very similar to the 7703/4 parts in that link. I seem to recall it has a button on the top which...

OK, it's a combi 90. I have attached a pic of the offending item. It looks like it has corroded through some of the insualtion around the outside of the tank.

    Grant 90 boiler leaking...HELP!

All I know is it's a Grant 90. If it is an auto air vent, the only thing I can think of is they have modified the part so it looks different now. What is in there now is a straight pipe about 2 inches tall, which bolts on to the tank and the other end has a screw on cap and a tyre valve...

    Grant 90 boiler leaking...HELP!

No, it's not the expansion tank, as I replaced that last year (was leaking water as the seal inside had split) This is a pipe that is attached to the tank behind the control panel, so when you open the front door, it is top left. Does anyone have a diagram of the boiler, or a list of...

    Grant 90 boiler leaking...HELP!

Hi all, Another problem with the boiler. It is leaking from a valve near the top front left, located just behind where the timer is, on the main tank. It has a twist off valve similar to a tyre valve, but it appears to be leaking from the valve itself. The valve is not attached to...

Grant 90 boiler cold water when heating on!

Morning all, the shower was a cold one this morning as there was no hot water!!! It seems that when the heating first comes on, there is no hot water. After the heating has been on for a while and all the rads are hot, there is some hot water. Is this something common? Could it be there...

    Cloudy water?! PRESSURE?

Hi all, I am getting cloudy water, from all taps/showers hot AND cold. If I put it in a glass it clears from the bottom up, so I presume it's loads of air bubbles? Thing is, can I sort this out? I know there is nothing wrong with it, but it looks disgusting especially when you have people...

Flushing the heating system on Grant Combi 90

So let me get this right, I am screwing the drain cock to the valve where the rad has been removed (does it matter which side I screw it onto). Where does the copper pipe come in? Maybe I need to go on a plumbing course?!

    Grant Combi 90 losing pressure

Forgot to ask, when fitting the Auto air valve is there anything I should know? Do I have to open it when filling the system and close once it's filled?

Flushing the heating system on Grant Combi 90

OK, that's great. Think I understand! I have never bought plumbing parts before. What do I need to ask for at the DIY shop then? I have an old bit of hose, how do I attach that to the fitting on the rad? You couldn't send me a link to what it looks like on screwfix or something could you...
