Urgent! Please advise. H+S alerted of 'timebomb Baxi 80E'

Corgi have had my account of the situation, including pics of the flue duct. I am suprised, to say the least, to hear back from them that they are not interested as the fault is not in-situ they they can assess as they take it apart themselves. This would have -apparantly meant that they...

Urgent! Please advise. H+S alerted of 'timebomb Baxi 80E'

It will all be fitted back in place by the heating engineers who's invoice I will try to pass on to the people who buggered it all up in the first place. What was critical* to my posting- and the comments-was confirmation (or no argument at least) that the plastic flue duct should not have been...

Urgent! Please advise. H+S alerted of 'timebomb Baxi 80E'

Pretty much sorted now- that is I haven't had one person suggest that the plastic pipe was correctly installed. All done and dusted as far as I am concerned. Many thanks

Urgent! Please advise. H+S alerted of 'timebomb Baxi 80E'

In my OP TITLE, I detailed the make and model. Pics attached. The stuff on top of the boiler is there to stop the cold air from the loft blowing into the room- it does not normally sit there!

Urgent! Please advise. H+S alerted of 'timebomb Baxi 80E'

I will submit a centre-fold shot in a range of lighting conditions, and a range of manly scenarios. That is, Baxi 80E bent over the bonnet of a car, Baxi 80E holding a big gun, and Baxi 80E holding a pneumatic drill, all with it's front panel down to expose the components. And a shot of the...

Urgent! Please advise. H+S alerted of 'timebomb Baxi 80E'

Seems to be gathering momentum. Now I have the wrong boiler? I think they said (Warmfront) that there was no option to fit a condenser, size/positioning limitations, etc. Many thanks for the helpful comments.

Urgent! Please advise. H+S alerted of 'timebomb Baxi 80E'

I fully take your point about the salesmen, but I think the pics of the vent angle speak for themselves, though I never heard of the 2" above ridge detail. Despite my calling Baxi techincal I am asking if anyone knows whether they did install the wrong pipe- metal or plastic, I am not in the...

Baxi 80E (Gas combi) installed by X & co under Warmfront Grant just under 2 years ago. Vertical concentric flue-through ceiling of daughters' bedroom (inside airing cupboard)- the boiler, not the the daughters. javascript:emoticon('') 'X and co's' installation was rushed, poorly...

    Roof vents, over-insulation(?) ,woodworm, condensation

I will answer, I will answer! There are no vents that I can see at all. We NEVER leave washing in the house- large covered area outside for this. Rooms below are poorly ventilated. Considerable condensation on bedroom windows in the morning, common in winter. The advice I...

Larvae in loft - identification & advice required

They are definately not a wood boring insect. You may as well leave them where they are. It the least they will help encourage a polulation of spiders which are the main predators to the wood eaters.

My washing machine pipe is always wet... on the outside

It's your cold-from-the-fridge-beer phenomenon. Condensation indeed. If you cover the pipe, which is the coolest object about, humid air will 'dump' onto the next coolest thing nearby. You may not see the condensation in every case, if the cold thing can absorb, i.e plaster on a wall, you...
