I have a one way light switch which has the supply going in and the feed to the light going out.The supply has the red connected to the common and the black to a terminal block, the feed has red to L1 and black to the terminal block, how do i wire this into a 2 way switch with a link cable that i have running to another 2 way switch. All the diagrams i have seen do not show where the supply is connected. :?: ps my new switches have L1,L2andL3 on them no common, does that make any difference.

the one at the top will be common.

Install your new switch and connect with 1mm 3 core and earth as follows

Yellow to top C
blue to L1
Red to L2

earth to brass terminal (cover wire in green sleeving)

Origonal switch

see previous (should be the same , along with the existing wires)
