Since the OP intends to remove the supplied plug, its legality is, in itself, fairly moot. There could, of course, be other issues.
To be honest, as I see it, the only major safety concerns (in the event of to poor design and/or manufacture) probably relate to a risk of catching on fire - which is not really a major concern for something which is always going to be used 'under supervision'.

Except, of course, that selling it in the first place tells us things about the attitude of the seller to our laws and safety regulations.
