Hi all

Anyone come across houses with 2nd 4" soil stack that isn't being tee'd into and is just venting the drain?? The main stack has 2 WCs tee'ing in and vented - further along is a 2nd stack with nothing teeing in - just venting to atmosphere. I want to tee in downstairs WC (currently a low level WC going direct to drain through the floor (clay pipe)). I want to get a CC WC out through the wall and into this 2nd stack.

I can't see any reason not to (doesn't look like secondary ventilated stack system as both 4") but wanted to check I'm not missing anything!

Any advice much appreciated.

Cheers,

Graham

PS (house built in 1910s)

probably find there use to be a downstairs toilet.tee piece underground, one to toilet and one to stack.

p.s make sure you rod it , as its probably full of rubbish and birds nests.

No, I looked in the manhole, the downstairs toilet which goes directly into the drain is further up
