I've had the gaskets for a while but today I finally got the time & inclination to do mine.
Following the excellent "How-To" HERE I sacrificed skin & blood to the "Knuckle Flesh" Gods !!
My Civ has covered 107k miles and here's what we found...
Before (EGR valve)
(Engine manifold)
And after scraping out the oily pasty gundge.
You might want to buy one of those telescopic magnetic picker-rupperers as the 8th Gen Civic has quite a comprehensive bottom cover
I think I paid about £3.50 for it from The Range. It's saved me having to take that damn bottom cover off on numerous occassions. New push clips for that cover (and you would need some) are an astounding £2.50 EACH.
So how does it run now the task has been completed ?
Exactly how people in the "How-To" says it does !!
