Hello there, i have an Accenta 8 alarm panel and remote keypad.

the problem is that when i open my front door or come down stairs in the morning i have about 10 seconds to key in my pin, which means that when the wife is putting in the pin the bloody alarm goes off CANT TAKE ANY MORE.

does anyone know how to increase this time setting to maybe 30 secs.

you need the engineers code.

without it you will have to crash the panel, for which you will need the engineers manual

(a) is there anyway to get the engineers code ? and if so what would i do when if i had it.

(b) excuse my ignorance but what does crash the panel mean ?
and is this an option.

sorry, i shall explain.

1) it was a vague remote possability you may have it written down.

2) crash, as in computer crash, you make the panel forget everything it knows, then you re programme it. (but you need the engineers manual)

You have 2 options, since neither the above apply to you.

call an alarm company and ask them to do it, but do ask are they familiar with your panel first.

you change the panel to something else. most panles come with the apropriate engineers manual, but not all do.
