Hi

I have a leaky flat roof (just shy of 20 metres square) which is just typical since next spring I'm hoping to build above it and do away with it for good!

So I’m after a temporary fix to get me through the winter months.

Looking around the WickesAcrylic Waterproofer” looks reasonable given that it says “its special formulation allows it to be applied in wet weather.” Admittedly it more costly than standard bitumen, but with our weather I’m not sure if there’s going to be dry day this side of Christmas!

Has anyone had any experience in using it? Does it do what it says or is the added expense just a waste of money compared to the bitumen?

Any advice greatly received for my temp fix

Many thanks

Thanks for the speedy response.

Surfing this morning came across the Flexacryl Roof Repair Compound. Probably seems a daft question but this seems to be similar/the same as the Wickes acrylic waterproofer.

It works out a lot cheaper (by about £100!) so was considering that instead and then spending the saving at Christmas!

I can get a 25kg one from a loacal roofing merchant which should suffice for the job.

Would be keen to hear anyones thoughts on the Flexacryl compound for the job?
