Hi,
I have just got back from Dublin where I had spent a couple of days withy my friend for his 50th Bithday.I have taken lots of Photo's and some movie on my camera,I want to produce a CD \ DVD Album, rather like a photo Album, and add text \ Captions, so the first phot might be of a PLane at the Airport, so I want to add some text something like 'Here is our Plane', I als want to put the movie clips on there as well, how do I do this.

Many Thanks in advance

You could do this with paint by opening the photo and just adding text.

If there is not too many photos to do you could send them to me and I would make it look really good and professional by doing it on photoshop for you.

Or PM me if you are interested in gaining a legal  ;) copy of photoshop to do it yourself.

Thanks :D I am going to give Picasa 3 a try..will let you know how I get on, but if anyone else has a better suggestion, please let me know.

 what about doing it in powerpoint, you could then email it, as well as cations etc

Use Windows Movie Maker.
It's already on your computer if you have XP or later.

Thanks Breezer, I did think about powerpoint, I asked my wife and she didn't' think that it would be that easy or the right thing for the Job.

Thanks Dave M, I have Windows Vista, so will see if Movie Maker is on that, does it do single pictures (photo's) & Movie?

It might be good if I could put them in 'Chapters', so Chapter 1 would Be Gatwick Airport Departure, Chapter 2 might be 'Arrival at Dublin'

Is all this easy to do, I don't want to spend too long doing it,at the momment I have coped all the photo's to the PC and I am Naming them, so that I know Easily what they are.

Thanks Again

Steve

JUst open Movie Maker, click Capture Video and in that section you can import pictures, music and the bits of video that you did.
Drag what you want onto the time line and just follow the simple instructions.
You will end up with a presentaion like Powerpoint with all the puictures etc and you can burn it to CD ROM to show on other computers.
To make a DVD to run on the DVD player and your TV you will need a DVD buirning program, but you can look that up later.
