Hi

I am in the process of moving. New house has a detached brick built garage.

I am wanting to put a single door in the side for access. Anyone know an
approx cost for doing this (supply and fit by buider). I know it would be a very rough figure but just to give me an idea. I am in the Leeds area, West Yorkshire.

Thank you

You should recon on something in the order of £200 per day plus materials; the daily rate obviously varies region to region, builder to builder.

are you talking timber or upvc.

a standard upvc half glazed door and frame costs around £400. cut out brickwork, install lintel, fix door and frame, seal frame, remove waste.

approx £700.

standard timber half glazed door and fame plus door furniture costs £180. as above plus door hanging.

approx £550.

these figures are based on a single skin garage. and are approximate. ;)
