I am decorating my house and would like to paint my woodwork in satinwood, the old wood work is painted in oil based paint and I would like to to know if I need to use and undercoat or can go straight over the top with the acrylic paint.

The paint I have found is "Leyland Trade Fast Drying Water Based Satin Brilliant White" for 2.5l £21.38 is that a good price? (im in the maintenance trade and can set up a trade account for whoever if needs be) Also how many coats would usually be neaded?

If an undercoat is needed do I get water based or acrylic?

Sand it down well.

Apply two coats of water based undercoat and one or two coats of acrylic satinwood.

For not much more money, you can get 2.5 litres of Johnstone's acryilc satin, which is better than the Leyland.
