Advice on building a small wall.

I need to build a small wall about 4 courses high. I will need to dig down and put some concrete in to support it. For a single brick wall how wide and deep do I need to put the concrete to support it?

at four courses high, you can please yourself.

a couple of inches of concrete or reinforced mortar will be enough.

Make sure you remove the soft topsoil and then 50mm of the firmer stuff below it.
