Hello!
I wonder if anyone can help. I had all new rads fitted throughout house over the summer. I have a conventional boiler, not a combi. Since turning the heating on about 6 weeks ago, the rad in the little bedroom upstairs keeps filling up with air. I have to bleed it every 7 to 10 days or else it is completely cold. It does get hot when bled. Today I had the plumber back out who fitted them. He checked the pump and expansion pipe etc and said there was nothing obvious and if it got worse to call him! He said the only other thing he could do is drain the system, but that this was done when he changed the rads. So I am not a happy bunny!
With very little knowledge, I presume air is getting into the system and if left unchecked air plus water equals rust. Should I check for leaks, and if so, what is the best way to go about this? Anything else I can check? I am determined to get to the bottom of it. Could I politely ask if anyone is good enough to reply, that you use simple English, as my knowledge of plumbing is, well, crap!
Thanks so much in advance!
