My bifold doors used to close and lock very softly but it now needs a mammoth effort to slam it close and then lock.

I assume it needs some adjustment but I’m unsure where and how. I’ve included some pictures for your reference.

Thanks in advance.

what is requiring you to slam?

is the latch not seating in the strike plate unless you really pull hard?
is the door catching on something?

I definitely have to pull really hard before the door closes and presumably the latch and strike plate line up. Unfortunately, I can’t find a way of verifying this given the thickness of the door and inability to see how these are lining up. Hope that makes sense

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how I may be able to resolve this please.
Thanks in advance
