My Apollo Myson Boiler has decided to stop working. I have had an intermitting problem with the boiler where it would stop working after it had reached temperature on the thermostate. To solve this problem i used to turn off the main power supply and it would reset it self. But now it wont power up any information would be great before i contact a plumber.

My guess is one of the thermostats has stuck open circuit but it could be a number of faults.

I have put that switch on both settings and it makes no difference. Do you have any idea how old this boiler is?
They are getting to be 20 years old but are still very efficient indeed !
However they are so simple there is nothing in them apart from the gas valve and stat!
Perhaps both stats have failed together?
You need to do an electrical test on them if you are competent!

I can use a multi meter is that any good. Can you tell me how to check them.
