Ariston hob continuos spark

Hi, can anyone give me some advice on my gas hob?
something tripped fuse in consumer unit when i flicked the fuse on the gas hob sparkers continue to spark. Any ideas please? , thanks.

It will probably be a stuck ignition micro-switch,you`ll need a gas safe engineer to inspect it.If it is stuck,it will probably need to be replaced.

Presume you mean the main RCD in your consumer unit tripped, rather than one of the smaller MCBs?

Has the hob got very wet recently? e.g. something boiling over in a big way, or very enthusiastic cleaning?

If so, it may resolve itself after drying out.

Thank's for the replies, it does look like i got a bit excited while cleaning . The ignition switch in hob the culprit,cheers.
