hi i have an ariston A1635 washing machine that powers up and the door locks but wont do anything else can you help

We will buy cheap washing machines, just had same problem with my A1635 and checked the obvious disregarding all thougths that it might be a level sensor or blocked pump filter or faulty temp switch or duff solenoid or printed circuit board and yes the motor brushes were worn.
Replaced brushes £32.60p all is fine after about a dozen washes.
