Desided a new bath room was in order. got a cheap one from our local b & q ( my 1st mistake ).

Bath and toilet were ok and fitted ok, but sink was a right game, they tell you to screw to wall which was unable to do holes in sink were about 1'' dia the china was just under a 1'' thick and place to put screws in my hand was not able to get in. ended up making a bracket to fix it.

I may well be a diy person but I have fixed 5 more before this one.

Well thats wot I get for buying cheap perhaps the china had come from china.

The large holes are to provide some adjustment you use a large resilient penny washers, then basin can be moved around before tightening the screws.

I had a similar issue when I got my B & Q sink. I guessed the holes were large to allow for adjustment. Trouble was they were larger than the biggest washer B & Q sold! They had a repair washer which was bigger but the centre hole was too small to get the coach bolt through.
