Hi, we had a Centora Green combi boiler (Chaffoteaux & Maury) fitted about 2 years ago and ever since have had problems with the water pressure (especially from the hot taps). If you want to run a bath, you literally have to wait approx 20 minutes for there to be half a bath full.

We thought this was just an issue with all combi boilers and something we'd have to live with, but we're told by another plumber that this isn't usual.

We're about to have a new bathroom suite and shower (mixer shower) fitted, the pressure is set to between 1.5 and 1.75 bar, but the hot tap literally dribbles (we've even tried new taps), and if you flush the loo, you may as well forget running the hot tap atall for at least 5 minutes.

Any ideas please?

the pressure gauge your looking at is the heating system pressure not your pressure in the hotwater circuit. Check the mains stoptap is turned fully on for starters if thats ok there maybe another valve not turned fully on or the boiler may have a hotwater throttle which is turned down to ensure you have hot hot water in winter. may be worth getting a general service on the boiler and checkover by a chaf engineer

Sounds as though the boiler is connected to a cold feed from a CWS :?:
