Banging Boiler

Can anyone help,I have a glow worm fuel saver MK II,when I just want to put my hotwater on i have to make sure the thermostat in the front room is turned up,otherwise the flame on the boiler stays on constantly and after about 15mins the boiler starts to bang and clatter and the water is red hot.By making sure the thermostat in front room is turned right up the radiators come on even if I just press for hot water.The same happens if the heating is on,and it gets warm enough to click off on the thermostat.the boiler will then start to bang and clatter.
