Can anyone offer some advice, I have fitted a new Torbeck Bottom Entry Cistern Valve. The problem is when i flush the cistern it fills as it should and when it shuts off it makes a banging noise both in the bathroom and the downstairs kitchen sink.
did you fit the restrictor that came with the ballvalve if not do it, if that dont work then you may need to think about fitting a pressure regulating valve and clipping your pipework properly, if that dont work.... well I am fresh outta ideas
As a temporary expedient, you may be able to cure it by turning the mains stop cock down a little. Unfortunately, the noise will probably return when the mains water pressure changes.
